Inspiration from a Book
Good books are
like good friends, that give us the right knowledge and information and also
guide us on the right path. Happened to
read one such good book ‘The Breakthrough’ by Ms.Megha Bajaj, which has the
stories of few living inspirations amongst us. Having read the book sometime
back, I chose to read only one part of the book, which had a pulling this
time. I read the story of Mr.Sandeep
Agarwal, a happily successful businessman from Hyderabad.
The pull
towards his story was due to ‘Love’. His is a story where love is an integral
part of every phase of his life, be it the ups or downs. The breakthrough I found from reading about
his life was that when you put love and relationships at the top, every
challenge in life can be easily won.
Putting the
family ahead of everything and giving the family the love and time it deserves
makes everything around beautiful. To
have someone to share your love with after a long day at work and to dissolve
in the love that is reciprocated is a blessing.
The love of a family, that is supportive and understanding deserves more
love to be given, by doing things that they don’t expect.
There will
always be people outside the family too, who at some point would have held our
hand and pulled us up or walked with us in the path of our growth with complete
trust. It is on the strength of their
presence in our lives that some of the important decisions would have been
possible. Those relationships which
value the person more than his money or other possessions. Remembering and remaining grateful to that
trust and support, after several years and after reaching the heights of
success, is another beautiful form of love as gratitude.
When what the
world calls as the better half is seen as the best half and showered with all
the love that they deserve for all that they are to us and our family and
expressing to them in our own ways, what they mean to us, deepens the love and
respect in the relationship.
When the
professional relationships like the colleagues and employees are seen as
co-humans and not as one-below and allowed to enjoy their share of rights and
responsibilities and also seen as part of the extended family, which knows whom
to look for when they are in a dire situation, it is no more a transaction, but
love that takes the form of care and kindness.
When beyond all
these vulnerable relationships, you find the mentor or the Guru in your life,
where there is mutual love, experienced in its purest form, in a state of
complete faith and surrender, that love becomes the thread, which binds
everything about your life with its grace and makes everything seamless.
The story spoke
about holistic growth of the person in all aspects from materialistic to
spiritualistic, but the dominant aspect, as I saw in that person was his love
for all and love for everything about life.
This made me admire at the power of love and its potential to turn
around anything. Surely a breakthrough
moment that reiterated to me the power of love in its various forms.
