  I love surprises. Tell me who doesn’t?   Surprises are always sweet.    When we yearn for something and when we finally get it, it feels amazing.   It feels like an achievement and sometimes, a big relief.   The excitement of getting something for which you have waited for long is wonderful.   However, when we get something which we have never even thought about or ever sought, it’s a blessing.   It turns out to be a beautiful surprise and hence sweet. I am here to write about one such beautiful experience, which I had never sought nor understood it’s meaning.   At a time, when I was still young by age, at a time when life was a flow, at a time when all my needs were being take care of by someone, at a time when the mind was free from anxieties and questions, at a time when the mind kept bubbling to achieve success, at a time when there were no big responsibilities and the heart was happy and joyful, to experience something right, without...

  I was recently reading a story to my daughter at bedtime, about 3 child-scarer monsters who felt bored and useless and landed in prison. Even after completing their term in prison, they didn’t want to leave as they felt hopless, as they didn’t know anything other than scaring people, which they didn’t want to do.   Soon, they find a friend in a new addition in the prison, Nightmare, a tiny little monster.   He was a good story teller and everyone loved to hear his stories.   But he spent most of the time sleeping.   Eager to hear the stories, one day, the 3 monsters combined their terrific cries and woke him up.   To their surprise, he was neither scared nor angry. Instead he thanked them for waking him up early, which he had always wanted to do.   He praised them and said that many sleepyheads would be happy to have them in their lives.   The 3 monsters were amazed to know that they could be of some use and could do something more than what the...

  Good books are like good friends, that give us the right knowledge and information and also guide us on the right path.   Happened to read one such good book ‘The Breakthrough’ by Ms.Megha Bajaj, which has the stories of few living inspirations amongst us. Having read the book sometime back, I chose to read only one part of the book, which had a pulling this time.   I read the story of Mr.Sandeep Agarwal, a happily successful businessman from Hyderabad. The pull towards his story was due to ‘Love’. His is a story where love is an integral part of every phase of his life, be it the ups or downs.   The breakthrough I found from reading about his life was that when you put love and relationships at the top, every challenge in life can be easily won.   In a state of stillness, Within and without, In the company of a soulful song, That flashes cherished memories, That makes my heart dance in joy, And smile out of happiness… It also flashes those memories, Of anxiety and fear… Of self-doubt and helplessness… Yet, a few moments later, With tears that flow unceasingly, I smile…I smile between tears, The smile of gratitude, For, the memories were not of, Only the anxiety and fear, But also of those invisible arms, Of the love and care, Of the tight hugs, Of the guiding voice, Of that protective fence, Of that omniscient presence, Of my bluetiful Angel, With me, within me. And, with that smile on my lips, And a heart full of love, Cocooned in His energy wrapped over me, I sleep in His arms, Hearing to His lullaby of love.

  You have been robbed, Of all you had, Left blindfolded, On a quiet and gloomy road, The night is dark, Neither a moon nor a torch in hand, The path is rugged, With thorns and stones piercing the feet, The destination is unknown, Not sure, if it will be liked or not, Exhausted and weary, The limbs are aching, Yet, despair not… When you have faith, You are never alone, Feel grateful… Only what you had, is lost… You are not. The dawn is about to dawn, And you will be shown the way. Or, you will find your own.
